From this viewpoint of the fortified enclosure known as Castro de Chavella, the view reaches Cabo Silleiro, considered one of the mouths of the Ría de Vigo next to Cabo Home. At the foot of this viewpoint it coincides with one of the most spectacular coastal sections of the Way of Saint James.

The XII-XVIII Oia Monastery, with its cove, and the Arrabal neighbourhood between the port and the San Sebastian chapel stand out. The traditional seafaring culture is reflected in the toponymy of places near the coast (thalassonymy) such as Punta Orelluda or the fishing and anchoring places. Traces of the past can be seen in the Castro de Cabeciña, in the petroglyphs of A Pedreira or in those of the River Vilar.

We can also see the remains of the salt mines from the Roman period, next to Porto Mougás.

The experienced surfers as well as the paragliding fans find in this place several ideal points for the practice of these activities.
